Gov. Matt Meyer signed legislation Sept. 2 that will provide free breakfasts to students of all incomes, starting in the 2026-27 academic year. Do you believe these meals are worth the state’s expense or should their distribution be determined on a child-by-child basis, depending on their income level? Do you think the program should be expanded to lunch, as well?

I’ve taken Avelo Airlines for a vacation, and unfortunately, the outbound portion of the trip was four hours late in leaving. As a result, my family, with two young children, got to our resort at 2 a.m. Not a great first impression.

There has been a lot of coverage and comments recently about the significant increases in property and school taxes. The significance of the increases is largely due to an irresponsible delay in property reassessment for over 40 years, resulting in discrepancies and unfairness in the amounts paid by landowners.

I would like to express my strong opposition to the proposed development called Atlantic Fields on Del. 24 in Lewes. Some area residents have been writing to the Sussex County Planning & Zoning Commission and County Council for several weeks. It’s unfortunate that these agencies do not feel the need to address concerns regarding the plan.

As I understand, this is a complex larger than all three Tanger Rehoboth Beach outlet malls combined.
