This bill makes the Interstate Renewable Energy Council, a private advocacy organization headquartered in Washington, D.C., the default standard setter for Delaware’s interconnection rule, in place of the Delaware Public Service Commission, an agency accountable to Delawareans.

Matt Meyer recently vetoed a line item in the fiscal 2027 bond bill that would have appropriated $35 million toward a Legislative Hall expansion. “When I hear from people who cannot afford their first home, or who pay more for childcare than their mortgage, or who cannot afford to see a doctor, I cannot support $35 million to expand Legislative Hall,” he stated.
