Speak Up: Upon return to House, right-to-marry bill succeeds

Posted

The Delaware House of Representatives brought back and successfully passed Senate Bill 100 on Tuesday, June 30, a first-leg amendment to enshrine the right to marry, regardless of gender or race, into the state constitution. The measure had fallen short of its needed two-thirds majority the previous week, but due to a procedural move, it was able to be brought back by its sponsor, Rep. Claire Snyder-Hall.
