MILLSBORO — A 57-year-old Millsboro man was arrested Tuesday for felony theft at Wawa, Delaware State Police said.

According to authorities, at approximately 6:42 a.m., a trooper responded to Wawa at 24930 John J. Williams Highway for a theft complaint. Witness interviews and a review of video surveillance revealed that a store employee, Michael Switzer, had been stealing cartons of cigarettes valued at approximately $10,800 since June 2023 and then reselling them to unknown people, police said.

The trooper contacted Mr. Switzer at the store and took him into custody without incident, police said.

Mr. Switzer was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on his own recognizance.
