BRIDGEVILLE – The 32nd Bridgeville Apple-Scrapple Festival kicked off Friday night, a precursor to what thanks to beautiful autumn weather in Saturday’s forecast will likely be a huge daylong event.
Friday night’s highlights included the pageant and crowning of 8-year-old Jade Stephens as Little Miss Apple-Scrapple 2024. Jade is a third-grade student at Phyllis Wheatley Elementary School.
The Kids’ Apple Toss competition was also held.
Patrons got a taste of the festival food, including apple dumplings at the Greenwood Grace Fellowship Church booth and scrapple sandwiches at the Woodbridge Performing Arts booth.
The popular band Sticky Situation took the stage after the pageant for the Friday Night Street Dance.
