Dorchester County Emergency Medical Services lost a manager after only about a week on the job. Readers responded.
DANGER: Keep on messing with peoples lives. Get the politics out of EMS before someone dies

JUST A SHAME: I met the guy right before he started. He had a lot of experience and ideas. He even went and met the employees to see what they felt needed to change. It’s a shame.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY: As we honor the legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., it’s not what what we hear people say that scares me the most. What saddens me is what people don’t say. Make this the year you speak from the heart, the year you challenge the status quo, the year you become vocal for whats right, the year you speak for others who don’t have a voice…the year you hold yourself to a higher standard.
“Not only will we have to repent for the sins of bad people; but we also will have to repent for the appalling silence of good people.” ―- Dr Martin Luther King Jr.

On Jan. 13, First District Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. did not attend the vote on President Trump’s second impeachment. Citizens responded.
SAD AND DISAPPOINTED: “While I would have voted…” This is concerning. What happened to every vote counts? Guess not yours, if you didn’t place it. Republicans gave Obama flack for voting “Present” and here you are skipping…sad and disappointed.

SOLD OUT: You sold out your democracy to terrorists. Voting against impeachment has nothing to do with it being a waste of time. The articles were on the floor and you voted against. You. Sold. Out. Our. Democracy.

SUPPORT FOR HARRIS: Thank you for taking the time to explain to us. I’m glad you are our representative and glad I voted for you.

HOLD ON: Yes, Andy was there at the vote to support the man he believed in…Oh, wait…

RESIGN: Resign if you are not going to bother doing your actual taxpayer-funded job. I’m sure they could use a doctor full time to provide medical care for covid patients.

AVOIDANCE: Your attempt to avoid voting on the record is not lost on your constituents. You didn’t want to be on the House floor today. Resign now!

BETTER WITHOUT: You have finally said something with which I agree…your constituents were indeed better served by your absence than they would have been with your presence. I urge you to make this a permanent situation by resigning.
