Heat Advisory issued for Kent, inland Sussex, Maryland counties

Posted

DOVER — The National Weather Service warns heat index, or “feels like” temperatures in Kent and inland Sussex counties in Delaware, and Kent, Queen Anne’s, Talbot and Caroline counties in Maryland, could reach as high as 107 degrees through 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The weather service expects the high temperatures and humidity to increase risk of heat related illnesses.

It advises those in the affected area to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air conditioned spaces, stay out of the sun and check on relatives, neighbors and pets.
