Salisbury laundromat fire under investigation

SALISBURY – A Feb. 10 fire in a laundromat and car wash in Salisbury resulted in an estimated $500,000 in damages.

According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal notice of investigation, the fire occurred on Feb. 10 at 8:21 p.m. at 1100 Nanticoke Road in the one-story commercial building.

No one was injured or killed in the fire.

The fire was reported by laundromat customers. The blaze reportedly started in or near the exhaust system for the clothes dryers.

Estimated losses are $350,000 for the structure and $250,000 for the contents.

The fire is still under investigation.
