Brew up fun during Third Friday

SALISBURY -- From coffee to beer and more, brew up a good time during the February Third Friday event, which has a theme of “FeBREWary.” Third Friday is Friday, Feb. 16, and runs from 5-8 p.m.

Third Friday does not feature outdoor activities during the winter months, but people are encouraged to visit Downtown Salisbury restaurants and shops.

The Salisbury Art Space will host a reception for its Member Showcase from 5-7 p.m. during 3rd Friday. Stay at the Salisbury Art Space for an open mic night, held in partnership with the Fenix Youth Project, at 7 p.m.

Nearby at the Salisbury University Art Galleries’ Downtown Gallery, visit the opening reception of “Flight or Fight,” featuring works by Christine Tyler, Michel Demanche and Caitlin Gill, which will run from 5-7 p.m. on 3rd Friday. The exhibit will run through March 29.  

Two Scoops Ice Cream & Waffles will premiere a Bali Roast from Iron Skillet Coffee and offer chocolate and coffee samples. Mad Tatter Social Club will feature a $50 tattoo flash sale.

Local restaurants will feature live music and DJs during 3rd Friday. Brew River Restaurant and Bar will host Fred Martin & The Evolution from 7-11 p.m. and DJ Str8 Up from 9 p.m.-2 a.m. DJ Nick at Nite will play at MoJo’s Urban Eatery from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. At Market Street Inn, watch The Mercury Agenda from 6-9 p.m. and listen to DJ Vibe from 9 p.m.-1 a.m.
