Students who plan to return to Delaware State University and University of Delaware campuses in the fall must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, officials announced.
What happens if they have a medical condition (documented proof) that prevents them from getting the vaccine? No religious objection? — Melissa Epperly
The article states they are exempt from this. — Jaden Blondin
And so it begins. — Mike Needles
It’s coming for all of us! — Grant Gosch
Strong-arming students, sounds like a dictatorship to me. — Willie Preacher
Hope they are ready for some lawsuits. You can’t require anyone to take an experimental vaccine that does not have full FDA approval. — Chris Ostrom
I’m so mad! My daughter was supposed to attend college there in the fall. Now, I don’t think she will be going. It should be her right to say whether she wants the shot or not. She will not be part of your experiment. And I’m not bashing anyone who got the shot, but at least it was your choice. — Michelle Cox Petty
It’s unconstitutional. — Kevin Talley
If we really want to stop this nonsense and make a statement, every student just drop out of school for one year. Show them that if you go woke, you go broke. — Will Garfinkel
Welcome to the new Cuba. My kids will not be getting it. I will sell out and move first. — Amanda Kollock
I think they’re opening themselves up for a ton of lawsuits. The staff is not being mandated to get this experimental vaccine, but the students are. I think it should be a choice for everyone. I personally don’t want my children to get the vaccine. I think we need a ton more data and answers to how it affects the reproductive system down the road. Flu shots and HPV vaccines aren’t requirements, so why should an experimental vaccine be a requirement? — Haley Mills Morris
Logically, it makes sense. Unless you have certain health conditions, there’s little to no risk. So really, no reason to not get it. — Jaden Blondin
Tyranny. The vaccine isn’t even FDA-approved. — Daniel Peters
