Police identify victim in fatal Roxana motorcycle crash

ROXANA — Delaware State Police on Tuesday identified the 78-year-old Ocean View man who died in a motorcycle crash two days earlier.

Authorities said Andrew Carmine Jr. was operating a motorcycle Sunday when he failed to negotiate a moderate curve on Bayard Road at approximately 2:44 p.m. Mr. Carmine was partially ejected from the motorcycle when it crashed, police said.

Mr. Carmine was taken by ambulance to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate this incident. Police ask anyone who witnessed the crash to contact Master Cpl. K. Argo by calling 302-703-3264. Information may also be provided by sending a private Facebook message to the Delaware State Police or contacting Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.
