MILFORD — Home of the Brave, a homeless shelter for veterans, has posted an online advertisement seeking a new executive director.

Greg Fuller, board chair and spokesman for the organization, said Barry Hamp, a former director of the Beebe’s Tunnell Cancer Center had taken over as director in early February. But did not respond to requests for comment on the new posting.

The listing is dated March 16 on job search site Indeed.com. As of Monday afternoon, the website reports between one and five people have applied. The listing includes grant and fundraising management, fiscal management, record keeping, human resources and maintenance responsibilities for a salary between $45,000 and $60,000 per year.

Former director Heather Travitz left the organization in December 2023, and has declined comment ever since, citing advice from her attorney.

A former resident, Daniel Young, previously detailed the change in the organization he said took place during the transition from Ms. Travitz to Mr. Hamp. Mr. Young previously described Mr. Hamp as competent, but perhaps unaware of everything happening at the organization, during an interview.

Mr. Hamp was unavailable for comment.
