FRANKFORD — A 38-year-old Frankford man was charged with first-degree murder following a vehicular death Nov. 24.

Delaware State Police said Gabriel Dorman, 22, died after a Honda four-wheeler he was riding on was struck by a vehicle on Frankford School Road. In addition, a 20-year-old man was treated and released from an area hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.

Police said the vehicle that struck the ATV left the scene.

After troopers’ investigation, Jeremiah Handy was arrested without incident at his residence Friday.

He was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree attempted murder and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony (two counts).

Mr. Handy was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution, Georgetown, on $850,000 cash bond.
