Baxter joins TidalHealth OB/GYN in Seaford


SEAFORD — Dr. Ian Baxter has joined TidalHealth OB/GYN, Mears Campus.

Originally from Pittsburgh, he received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from California University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Baxter is a recipient of the Air Force Health Professions Scholarship and graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001. He completed his OB/GYN residency at Wright State University School of Medicine and Wright-Patterson Medical Center in 2005.

He went on to fulfill his military commitment as a major at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska, where he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal. During this time, he was also a clinical instructor at Creighton University Medical School, training OB/GYN residents.

Since 2008, Dr. Baxter has practiced in Delaware, caring largely for an underserved patient population. He is also a national speaker and trainer for several organizations, focusing on women’s health topics and techniques to increase access to services.
