LAUREL — Delaware State Police on Wednesday announced the arrest of Azzure Horsey, 19, of Laurel, on first-degree murder charges, as well as a dozen other felonies, connected to a multi-victim shooting last year.

Around 9:35 p.m. Sept. 10, Laurel police responded to reports of a shooting on West Sixth Street and discovered two gunshot victims and another unidentified individual in a vehicle, authorities said.

Taylor German, 26, of Laurel, was seated in the vehicle and had been shot multiple times, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second victim has only been identified as a 41-year-old man from Millsboro. He was taken to a local hospital for life-threatening injuries and released.

The third person has not been identified nor their health status disclosed.

According to the preliminary investigation, an unknown suspect or suspects fired multiple shots into the car while it was at the entrance to Little Creek Apartments. The occupants then drove to West Sixth Street, where they were contacted by the Laurel Police Department and received medical attention.

Mr. Horsey was indicted by a grand jury Tuesday and taken into custody the following day. He is charged with first-degree murder, two counts of attempted murder, five counts of felony possession of a firearm, two counts of firearm possession by a prohibited person, first-degree conspiracy, second-degree assault and first-degree reckless endangerment.

He was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution, Georgetown, on $3,260,000 cash bond.

The state police Homicide Unit continues to investigate and asks anyone with information to contact Detective Alan Bluto at 302-741-2859 or alan.bluto@delaware.gov, to send a message via the state police Facebook page or to call Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-847-3333.
