MILLSBORO — A 19-year-old Dover man has been arrested in connection with a shooting outside a bar last year.

Authorities said the incident occurred on June 2, 2023 at Paradise Grill and began with a fight inside the bar. As a man later drove from the parking lot, a group of men began running after the car, police said.

Gunshots were fired but the car drove away and all fled the area, police said. The car was struck by gunfire, according to authorities.

No injuries were reported and no suspects were identified, police said. Troopers were called to the scene at approximately 11:06 p.m.

After a monthslong investigation, police said, Ja’shawn Moore was identified as a suspect and arrested Tuesday.

Mr. Moore was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, first-degree reckless endangering, second-degree conspiracy and criminal mischief. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $87,000 cash bond.
