Unitarian Universalists of Central Delaware to hold online Sunday service

Unitarian Universalists of Central Delaware will hold its service Sunday on Zoom.

The service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Sunday on Zoom. Email uucdcontact@gmail.com for meeting information or look for an edited version of the service on Facebook several days after the service.

The service, "In Search of Compassion: a Meditation on What Neurobiology Tells us of Empathy," will discuss how in many of the helping professions it is believed that empathy and compassion are useful components of our professional skill set. Yet in none of the various
disciplines one studies to be a helping professional is empathy or compassion taught. Why is this? Is it because we believe that empathy cannot be taught?

This reflection is dedicated to the third and sixth UU principles.
