Speak Up: Delaware preps for winter viruses

Posted

A triple threat of viruses is circulating around Delaware, as the calendar turns toward the holiday season. Flu cases are up, as are the instances of respiratory syncytial virus infections. Winter is also the time when COVID-19 cases were the highest the last two years, as individuals spent more time indoors. With that in mind, state officials held a virtual press briefing to encourage Delawareans to be current on their vaccinations and to stay home this winter if they do get sick.

  • I think health officials should be more concerned about myocarditis in children and sudden adult death syndrome. — Erin Greenberg
  • We should wear our masks again. — Irene Smith
