Laura Ann Davis, 80

Posted

Laura Ann Davis, of Milford, Delaware, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Laura was born September 5, 1946, in Milford, Delaware, daughter to the late Ruth Ada Torbert, and Phillip Torbert. Laura spent her life surrounded by the people and community she loved.
Above all else, Laura loved her family. Her family meant everything to her, and she was truly the heart of the family. She was the one who brought everyone together and held a special place in the lives of those who knew and loved her. Her love, memories, and presence will forever remain in the hearts of her family.
Laura had a love for Elvis Presley, and enjoyed spending time at the casino. These little things, along with the countless memories she made with her family, will always be remembered and cherished.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Doris; and her twin boys, Joseph and George Lane.
She leaves behind her seven beloved children: Ruth Ann, Phillip, Woody, Wanda, Frank (Traci), Carl, and Kenny (Cathie) and her sisters Nancy (Ronnie), Linda (Ron) and her brother, Louis.
She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren: Brian Sr. (Jennifer), Brandy, Bruce, Phillip (Hailey), Charles, Laura Lee, Lorin (Chad), Taylor, Ashlynn, Carlee, Kenny, Brianna, Tyler (Sierra), and Chase.
Laura’s legacy continues through her 24 great-grandchildren: Brittany (Elliott), Jenna, Brian Jr., Kamree, Brandon, Robbie, Landon, Bryson, Natalie, Bentley, Effie, Elwood, Haiden, Martin, Kaleb, Karter, Bishop, Camden, Callan, Zakai, Konnor, Kassidy, Lawsyn, and Aria.
She is also survived by her five great-great-grandchildren: Kasen, Colton, Knox, Josani, and Javon.
Though our hearts are broken by the loss of the woman who was the heart of our family, we are forever grateful for the love she gave, the memories she created, and the family she brought together. Her absence will be felt in every family gathering, every holiday, and every moment we wish we could share with her again.
Funeral services will be held on November 7, 2026, at Berry-Short Funeral Home in Milford, Delaware. Viewing will be 10am – 12pm. Funeral service will follow at 12pm.
