Hague: Law-abiding gun owners are not the problem

In response to Peter Graffagnino, the outrage about any shooting is out there (“Permit-to-purchase topic has become ‘political football’"). Permits will do nothing to stop those with mental health issues from committing crimes.
Yes, permits are a simple way to track firearm owners. However, it is illegal, both federally and in Delaware, to create such a registry. The reason is obvious. By definition, criminals do not obey the law; only law-abiding citizens do. They are not the problem.
