Crab Race coming up Saturday at AMVETS in Long Neck

Posted

LONG NECK — A shellfish tradition that coincides with Independence Day will take place Saturday at AMVETS Post 2, 32592 Long Neck Road.

The 19th annual Crab Race will run noon to 5 p.m., with proceeds supporting the Sons of AMVETS and Post 2’s mission.

For each race, spectators will bet on numbered crabs, which scoot down an angled, watered board from starting gates.

The family-friendly event features kids’ activities, refreshments, raffles and music by Ice Productions DJ Services.
