Getting kettle corn at the fair makes it on everyone’s summer bucket list. Lucky for you, the Wicomico County Fair is happening at WinterPlace Park Aug. 18-20.

Check some things off your summer bucket list and immerse yourself in the agricultural highlights of the Eastern Shore:

  • Get a giant bag of kettle corn.
  • Watch dirt fly and hooves pound as the Mason Dion Mounted Shooters hit the rodeo ring.
  • Jump around at the Water Boyz Inflatable park.
  • Cheer on the Maryland High School Rodeo participants.
  • Try your hand at watermelon seed spitting during the competition.
  • Stroll through the Carriage House and look at all the farm and home show entries.
  • Take a pony ride.
  • Visit the petting zoo and say hi to all the animals.
  • Witness the talented Mid-Atlantic Disc Dog team perform impressive tricks and feats.
  • Compete in the pie, hot wing or watermelon eating contests.
  • Sit in the shade and enjoy live music.
  • Ooh and aah at the fireworks show.

The County Fair is produced by Wicomico Farm & Home Show and Wicomico County, and it is presented by Perdue, Toyota, Pohanka of Salisbury and Piedmont. For the full schedule visit WicomicoFair.com.
