EASTON – Five youths were arrested after fights broke out at the football game Oct. 27 between Easton and Cambridge-South Dorchester high schools.

A report Tuesday from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were working security for the varsity football game at Easton High School. During the game, several altercations among students occurred, leading to the arrest of four juvenile males and one juvenile female.

Other arrests are anticipated, the report said. Investigators, school resource officers and the Boards of Education for Talbot and Dorchester counties will review videos in an attempt to identify other juveniles involved in the altercations and possible criminal charges.

Multiple officers from the Easton Police Department, Maryland State Police and the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist with dispersing the crowd at the game and maintaining order. The decision was made by the Easton High School Administration and the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office to end the football game and to have all occupants leave the stadium.
