According to Dover Police spokesperson Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid, no injuries occurred after the gunshot at 8:59 p.m.

The shot occurred in the midst of a large fight after the Senators’ game against Smyrna, Cpl. Schmid said.

In a news release, police said the fight began at the entrance to the football stadium and officers were on scene assisting with security.

Police say responding officers saw Kameron Scott 27, of Dover, fire a handgun once into the air

Officers attempted to take Mr. Scott into custody, however he allegedly ran to a nearby apartment complex and was taken into custody after a foot chase.

Mr. Scott was charged with possession offenses, including firearm during the commission of a felony; firearm by a person prohibited; and firearm in a school zone; along with carrying a concealed deadly weapon, riot, second-degree conspiracy and resisting arrest. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $55,000 cash bail.
