MILFORD – The Food Bank of Delaware is ready to spring into action.
On April 30 from 10 a.m. to noon, the Food Bank of Delaware's Milford branch will hold its spring senior health fair.

The fair will give senior citizens the chance to connect with various organizations that can help them enjoy their lives.

“It’s an opportunity for us to bring in all different community resources and vendors that can provide information to Delaware senior citizens,” said Kim Turner, vice president of communications at the Food Bank of Delaware. “They can get information about how to live a happy lifestyle.”

Some of the vendors include Bayhealth, Delaware Division of Public Health, University of Delaware Cooperative Extension, PACE Your LIFE and more.

The Food Bank will also be giving out fresh produce and essential pantry items. They will provide interactive ways for seniors to learn about the pantry essentials with recipe cards and more.

Now that the Food Bank of Delaware has the new Milford location, they decided to bring this event back after many years.

“We did this event about 10 years ago, so it has been quite some time since we have done this,” said Ms. Turner. “With the pandemic, people were home and I think now people are starting to get back out.

“We want to have a fun morning for the seniors.”

The event is free, however registration is required to attend.
