Chamber Connection: New LCD class announced

Posted

The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce (CDCC) appreciates the community waiting patiently for the reveal of the newest Leadership Central Delaware (LCD) Class of 2024. The new graduates of the LCD program are out in the community doing amazing things and they are sure ones to watch. The LCD Class of 2024 are a new group of 25, talented, professional, diverse, and enthusiastic individuals ready to embark on a Kent County leadership journey like they’ve never experienced before.

The applications have been reviewed, candidates have been informed of expectations, and the interviews have been successfully completed. The CDCC is so excited to finally announce the Leadership Central Delaware Class of 2024 to the community. If you know any of these students listed below, be sure to give them kudos for stepping out of their comfort zone, taking a new step in their careers, and giving back to the community.

Over the next 10 months, this group of individuals won’t remain strangers – they will become a unit, a network. They will get the “insider look” at Kent County by touring, listening, and learning about its various key economic industries from fundamental leaders. They will meet face-to-face with exceptional leaders, learn from their examples, and shape their own leadership styles all while having fun and creating bonds to last forever.

This is a fresh start, a new beginning for the Leadership Central Delaware Class of 2024, and the CDCC couldn’t be more excited to welcome, encourage, and empower each student as they take this next step in their lives, careers, and personal development journeys. Our wish is that their goals of being leaders in the community become clearer as they build a new network of like-minded people with a variety of expertise.

The Class of 2024 will enter the 23rd year of the Chamber’s Diamond Program. There is no time like the present to commit and challenge yourself to be better than you were yesterday, and the CDCC is proud to have a hand in making this true for our community. The members of the LCD Class of 2024 have big shoes to fill, however they should not be worried because their Chamber and community are by their side every step of the way, even past graduation day in June 2024, when they will successfully complete the program.

The Class will kick off the year strong with an initial Meet & Greet reception at Dean & Terry Blaha’s (Class of 2004) beautiful estate. This will be the primer to their overnight Opening Retreat in September in Rehoboth, and from there on, the fun and learning will really begin as they meet once a month for their jam-packed class days. Much is to be learned and experienced within this new dynamic group of people and the CDCC can’t wait to see it unfold. The CDCC is excited for the community to follow along their journey.
