HEBRON — Hebron Savings Bank has announced that John Aukward, Jr. has joined the Bank as Vice President, Business Banker, serving business customers across the Eastern Shore.

With over twenty-five years of experience in banking and business lending, bank officials said Aukward brings a vast knowledge of financial tools to support businesses and a history of excellent local service to its team.

“John’s unique background as a local business owner and his extensive involvement in community service make him the perfect fit for our bank,” said Jennifer Poulsen, CEO. “We are happy to be able to expand our team with such quality talent.”

His active roles in the Rotary Club of Salisbury, Salisbury Neighborhood Housing, the Lower Eastern Shore Children’s Center, St. Francis De Sales Church, and the Joseph House demonstrate his commitment to our community. Aukward holds a degree in Business Arts with a minor in Psychology from Salisbury State College (now Salisbury University), and he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, going to the beach, reading, and watching live music.

Bank officials said Aukward will play a key role in fostering relationships with its existing business customers and in acquiring and supporting new clients. Based at its Carroll St., Salisbury location, he will specialize in deposit and lending products and will promote overall business growth and customer satisfaction.

“I made the move to Hebron Savings Bank due to my desire to work for a true local bank, and because of their stellar reputation in the community. A bank that makes local decisions helps both our business community and our residents grow and thrive. I am thrilled to be a part of this institution’s friendly hometown culture,” Aukward said.

Hebron Savings Bank is an independent, state-chartered, FDIC-insured community bank headquartered in Hebron, operating 13 full-service offices in Wicomico, Somerset and Dorchester Counties.
