Letter to the Editor: Dover mayor thanks voters and candidates

I want to thank the citizens of Dover for taking time to vote in the city’s annual election. As Americans, it is a right and privilege that has been secured by the blood of many patriots.

To the candidates, I thank each of you for civility during the campaign. The greater issue was what was in the interest of our city and not personalities.

Finally, I want to thank those who voted for me and for their continued support and trust. To those who did not vote for me, I will work to the best of my abilities to earn your trust in knowing that I will do what is right and work my hardest for all of our citizens and to always be the voice of those who have no voice. Because, at the end of the day, I believe in Dover and hope you believe, too.
