Four players scored in double figures as St. Thomas More downed Indian River, 70-32, in boys’ basketball on Monday night.

The Ravens finish the regular season at 15-5, the most victories for the program in recent memory.

Corey Gordon (15 points), Aaron Scott (15), Elias Revelle (15) and Alvin West (13) led St. Thomas More, which outscored the Indians, 46-17, in the first and third quarters.

DeAndre Cooper led IR with 12 points.

Lake Forest 66, Del. Public Safety & Security 48: Cameron Lewis tallied 26 points as the Spartans improved to 10-9.

The Spartans, who finished the contest on a 22-9 run, also got 17 points from Dominique Griffith and 11 from Kyle Hammond.

Woodbridge 61, Laurel 50: Hassan Corbin netted 22 points to pace the Raiders to the Henlopen Southern Division win.

With the game tied, 24-24, at halftime, Woodbridge outscored Laurel, 17-8, in the third quarter to take control.

Cornell Corbin (17) and Ja’mi Ross (11) also reached double figures for Woodbridge.

Girls’ basketball

St. Thomas More 45, St. Andrews 16: The Ravens outscored the Cardinals, 27-10, in the second half as they improved to 15-2.

DahNaija Barnes had a game-high 10 points, with a pair of three-pointers, for St. Thomas More.

Laurel 47, Indian River 39: Logan Handy scored 29 points, hitting five three-pointers, to pace the Bulldogs to the South win.

Laurel was down by four before outscoring IR, 18-6, in the fourth quarter.

The Indians’ Julia Jordan scored 15 points with Kealey Allison adding 11.

College basketball

DelState’s Morgan honored: Delaware State freshman guard Devin Morgan has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season.

Morgan totaled 22 points, six assists, two steals and five three-point field goals in the two contests. His three-pointer in the final seconds provided the margin of victory in the Hornets’ 67-64 win over Norfolk State this past Saturday.

For the season, Morgan is tied for the team lead and tied for 25th in the MEAC in scoring at 11.1 points per game. He also ranks 11th in the league in assists (2.8 pg) and 12th in three-point field goals (2.0 pg). In addition, Morgan is the Hornets’ leading rebounder and top free throw shooter.

Hornets’ Pollard wins another award: Delaware State freshman NaJai Pollard netted her eighth Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week honor.

She totaled 43 points, 20 rebounds, seven assists, six blocks and four steals in two games.

Pollard leads the Hornets in rebounding (7.5 rpg), blocks (39) and double-digit rebounding games (7), while sitting second in scoring (11.1 ppg) and fourth in steals (25).

College track & field

Wesley women take second: Wesley College improved on last season’s fourth-place finish with a silver-medal performance on Sunday at the Capital Athletic Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Evelina Sloboh set a meet record with a 7.73-second finish in winning the 60 meters. In the 400 Elizsha Streeter took first with a CAC-record time of 58.79.

In the 1,600 relay, the Wolverine quartet of Quadira Minus, Angel Hall, Streeter and Briana Artis ran a meet-record time of 4:00.88 topping Wesley’s 2015 finish by nearly four seconds.

Taylor Rae Danforth earned a win in the pole vault, taking first by clearing 3.36m and finishing just .09 meters shy of the meet record.

Wesley men place third: The Wesley men’s took third place in the Capital Athletic Conference Indoor Championships on Sunday.

The Wolverines earned three gold medals while earning 14 additional top-five finishes to tie their best CAC Indoor conference finish.

Anthony Simpson won both the 60 and 200 meters, and set a meet record with a 6.82 finish in the 60. In the 200, Simpson earned the gold with a time of 22.30, setting a CAC record.
