Mikie Mochiam’s overtime goal gave Indian River a 1-0 victory over Cape Henlopen in the Henlopen Conference boys’ soccer championship game on Tuesday.

Mochiam scored off an assist from Juan Gonon-Linares. Ian Wells made 13 saves to keep the Indians in the game despite being out-shot.

Caesar Rodney 1, St. Andrew’s 0: Galindy Prezeau netted the game’s only goal as the Riders ended their regular season with a nonconference victory.

Sussex Tech 7, St. Georges 1: The Ravens scored six goals in the first half on their way to a nonconference win.

Carter Burris and Donald Tingle had a pair of goals while Joshua Artiga, Nicholas Hudson and Eliel Gomez scored a goal each.

Woodbridge 4, Smyrna 0: Wilian Velasquez’s two goals helped lift the Blue Raiders while Humberto DelCid and Dyllan Rust added a goal apiece.

Field hockey

Cape Henlopen 4, Delmar 1: The Vikings rallied from a halftime deficit with four goals in the second half.

Tess Bernheimer, Erin Coverdale, Sydney Ostroski and Jody Boyer recorded goals for the Vikings who finished the regular season unbeaten. Delmar’s goal was by Jordan Moore.

Polytech 1, Woodbridge 0: Jamie Trabaudo scored the lone goal off a penalty stroke in the second half.

College football

Wesley up No. 3 in one poll: After improving to 8-0 with a 56-22 victory over Montclair State on Saturday, the Wesley College football team moved up one spot to No. 3 in Division III in the American Football Coaches’ Association poll.

In the D3football.com poll, the Wolverines remained fourth.

In both polls, the 8-0 Wolverines were voted behind Mount Union and Linfield. In the D3football.com poll, Wesley was placed behind Wisconsin-Oshkosh (7-1), which knocked off top-ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater earlier this year.

College field hockey

Blue Hens still ranked: With a 14-5 mark to end the regular season, the Blue Hens have slipped a spot to No. 15 in this week’s Penn Monto/NFHCA Coaches Poll.

Delaware fell, 2-1, at Drexel on Friday before defeating Northeastern, 4-3, to clinch the team’s fifth straight berth into the CAA Tournament.

The Hens received 216 points for the 15th slot while the top four spots once again remained the same.  Syracuse (16-0) is atop this week’s poll for the fifth straight week with 807 total points and 34 first place votes.  UConn (18-0), North Carolina (15-2) and Duke (12-5) followed in order.

The Hens have been ranked in the NFHCA Top 20 in each week since September 8 and have reached as high as No. 12.  Delaware is ranked No. 16 in this week’s NCAA Field Hockey RPI.
