On Thursday, Sussex County Planning and Zoning commissioners voted 3-1 (with one abstention) to rescind their previous 4-1 vote made in March denying the Coral Lakes development in rural Lewes. After the original vote, the County Council voted in May to remand the matter back to the planners for further consideration. One of the sticking points has been wetlands on the property with concern expressed that future homeowners will face flooding issues. What is the solution for development on land with wetlands and drainage issues?
