Jordan Allen (16 points), Terrance Woodlin (13) and Bryan Pettit (13) all scored in double figures for Dover. Allen had four of the Senators’ six three-pointers. College basketball WOMEN, Delaware 70, Northeastern 61: Senior Joy Caracciolo and freshman Makeda Nicholas posted career nights as the Blue Hens rallied in the second half for the Colonial Athletic Association victory. Caracciolo recorded her second straight double-double with a career-high 18 points to go along with 10 rebounds while Nicholas tallied season-bests of 17 points four blocked shots. “We played very flat in the first half,” said coach Tina Martin, whose team won its third straight game. “Towards the middle of the second half, we buckled down. We executed offensively, got people to the foul line and put up some good looks. We are finally over .500 in the conference and now it’s going to continue to be a dogfight until the end.” Delaware (6-5 CAA, 11-11 overall) also received double-digit scoring from sophomore Erika Brown and junior Courtni Green, who put up 16 and 12 points, respectively. The Hens trailed by as many as 13 points in the opening half and were down 31-27 at halftime before a jumper from Nicholas and free throws from Caracciolo tied the game and then gave UD the lead for good just five minutes into the second half.
