Ke’Shyara Jolley, North Dorchester High School, and Erica Doty, Cambridge-South Dorchester High School, were recently, recognized by the Rotary Club of Cambridge, as recipients of the Club’s “Student of the Semester Award.” The Award is presented two times a year to a senior from NDHS and C-SDHS based on the recommendation of the School’s administration.

First presented in 2000, the Award is given to a student who many times helps out without any one knowing, with little to no recognition. Principals Lynn Sorrells, NDHS, and Dave Bromwell, C-SDHS, spoke about their students, explaining why they were selected. Both principals went on to say, their schools have many students who work tirelessly for the schools.

Rotarian Phil Reed presented the crystal award to Erica and Ke’Shyara, pointing out they selected a new award, purposely designed in the shape of a book. Each of the students were joined by members of their family. Both thanked the Club for the Award and thanked their principals for selecting them.
