Women’s conference planned

SALISBURY — Empowering women in business, Maryland Capital Enterprises’ Women’s Business Center announces its Ninth Annual “Aspire to Succeed & Lead” Women’s Business Conference. This popular event continues to provide a platform for businesswomen to connect, learn, and grow.

Scheduled for March 15, 2024, the conference promises a day filled with insightful speakers, networking opportunities, and practical strategies for success.

The event is planned for  Friday, March 15. Check-in  starts at 8:30 a.m. The conference will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at  Wicomico Youth & Civic Center (Midway Room), 500 Glen Ave, Salisbury, MD 21804.

Registration fee is $65.

The conference features an impressive lineup of speakers, each a trailblazer in her respective field:

• Jordan Twilley, Executive Sales Director for Mary Kay, began her entrepreneurial journey at 18. Today, she leads a multi-million-dollar Mary Kay team, exemplifying leadership and success in direct sales.

• Nicole Odom-Hardnett, Ph.D., the 2023 MCE Palmer Gillis Entrepreneur of the Year, has created a significant impact in the business world. As the owner of Focus Point Solutions, she has established a substantial presence in behavioral health and franchise operations.

• Lori A. Carter, MBA, CFEI, brings over 35 years of experience in community planning and economic development. Her expertise in program development and project management has been pivotal in her collaborations with various agencies.

Get great takeaways from our panel discussion with local women entrepreneurs focused on creating sustainable diverse networks.
