Salisbury's Oak Ridge Church to unveil new worship auditorium

Posted

Oak Ridge Church will hold a grand opening celebration of its new worship auditorium on Sunday, Sept. 25, at its east Salisbury campus on Route 50 at Tilghman Road.

The special event will feature two services – at 9 and 11 a.m. -- as well as activities for youngsters, breakfast sandwiches and specialty coffee.

This new 20,000-square-foot addition to Oak Ridge’s Salisbury campus is the culmination of more than 12 years of planning and sacrificial giving.

The goal was to create a new adult worship auditorium that could accommodate future growth using the latest state-of-the-art technology, which simultaneously facilitates a life-changing in-person and online experience.

It is the only facility of its kind on the Eastern Shore.

“We believe that the church should exist for the local community, not the other way around,” said Brian Moss, Lead Pastor of Oak Ridge Church.

“We want to use our facilities as a bridge to our community,” Moss said. “Our passion is to go all out in order to bring hope and healing to hearts and homes, and we’re just getting started!”

The new building is the first phase of the church’s Salisbury campus master plan, which includes renovated family ministry space for young people, a new chapel to host weddings and funerals, and additional worship venues to reach new people groups.

During the grand opening celebration, Oak Ridge will feature activities for the entire family, including hands-on interaction with community partners, a petting zoo, and a special kids program with energetic music, games, and Bible focused conversations.

The public is invited to attend the celebration. For more information, visit the church’s website at orbc.net or contact the church office at 410-742-4422.
