DOVER — What do you know about the current state and future of The United Methodist Church? Are you part of a congregation that is looking into disaffiliation and separating from the Conference?
Bishop LaTrelle Easterling, the episcopal leader of the Peninsula-Delaware and Baltimore-Washington Conferences, will host an online town hall meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m., to address misinformation and confusion about the current state and future of The United Methodist Church.
She will speak about its tenets of faith, the strength of its connection, policies approved by the General Conference and Annual Conferences to disaffiliate, and what (if any) decisions local churches, members and clergy need to be making. Bishop Easterling and along with leaders from both conferences will shine a light on these issues and more.
The meeting will be held via zoom and registration is online at https://pendel-reg.brtapp.com/TownHall922. Note that if you are not subscribed to Conference emails you will not get a zoom link.
