REHOBOTH BEACH — An 81-year-old Rehoboth Beach man involved in a crash Sept. 2 has succumbed to his injuries.

Richard Bland died Sept. 19 after being hospitalized with critical injuries following a collision on Coastal Highway, just north of Camelot Drive. He had been driving a Honda Cruiser motorcycle at approximately 5:42 p.m. when it struck a stopped Jeep Cherokee from behind for unknown reasons, police said.

The Cherokee’s driver, a 55-year-old man from Randolph, New Jersey, was not injured.
The investigation continues, and troopers asked witnesses to contact Master Cpl. K. Argo at 302-703-3264, send a message via the state police Facebook page or call Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-847-3333.
