SELBYVILLE — Delaware State Police on Monday identified the 21-year-old Milford woman as the victim of a homicide two days earlier.

Police said Abriana Ingram died of wounds suffered Saturday in a shooting incident at a strip mall at 36334 Dupont Boulevard. A 30-year-old Seaford woman was also shot and later treated and released from a nearby hospital, police said.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a Halloween party took place at a business within the strip mall. At some point during the event, a fight broke out and the party goers were asked to disperse, police said.

The fight continued in the parking lot, at which point an unknown suspect displayed a handgun and began shooting, police said.

The two victims were not involved in the altercation, police said.

The Homicide Unit is still actively investigating this incident. Anyone with information was asked to call Detective A. Bluto at 302-741-2859. Information may also be provided by sending a private Facebook message to the Delaware State Police or contacting Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.
