Milford senior awarded Graybeal scholarship
MILFORD — The CenDel Foundation has announced that 2023 Milford High School graduate Sofia Lopez has been named the recipient of the Dr. C. Edward Graybeal Scholarship.
She was awarded the $20,000 scholarship through the Dr. C. Edward Graybeal Fund. It will be distributed over four years.
Ms. Lopez is attending the University of Delaware in the fall and plans to study mechanical engineering.
The late Dr. Graybeal understood the value of financial aid and established the fund to grant scholarships to Milford High School seniors pursuing higher education.
The CenDel Foundation is committed to transforming the community through charitable giving. Since 2008, it has distributed more than $4 million in grants and funding to several organizations in central Delaware.
