MILTON — The Milton Chamber of Commerce will host a public briefing by Roddy Flynn, the executive director of the Delaware Broadband Office, at 5 p.m. April 23 at the Milton Public Library.

Mr. Flynn will give updates regarding the office's funding sources, discuss timelines for expanding high-speed internet infrastructure, and elaborate on their digital equity initiatives, including efforts in digital skill enhancement and workforce development.

Delaware has earned the distinction of being the second state in the nation to have its digital equity plan federally approved, resulting in approximately $12 million in funding for digital equity projects, with the potential for an additional $112 million. This underscores the state's dedication to advancing digital accessibility and inclusion.

Karen Falk, executive director of the Milton Chamber of Commerce, said, “It’s imperative that our chamber offers this opportunity for both businesses and residents to delve into this significant initiative, and we thank Mr. Flynn for bringing this outreach opportunity to Milton.”
