LONG NECK –  Construction has returned to the intersection of Del. 24 and Long Neck Road, after stopping late last year following the discovery of a larger-than-expected cemetery.

In a video statement released contemporaneously, Community Bank President Jack Riddle said the bank was aware of a one-headstone cemetery on the lot when the purchase was made.

However, when it turned out more headstones were present as the lot was being prepared, contruction stopped.

Now, materials and equipment have returned, and some work has been done since the stoppage.
