Conley’s Church Soup Kitchen to reopen July 7

LEWES — In person dining will resume at Conley’s Church Soup Kitchen on Wednesday, July 7.

The Soup Kitchen will be open every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Manager Zola Paterno says the Soup Kitchen is “free of charge and open to anyone who needs a meal or just needs to socialize.”

Before the kitchen closed in March 2020 due to the pandemic, diners included the homeless, handicapped persons, construction workers and Conley’s Church members.

Each Wednesday there will be two soups and two sandwich selections available. The food is donated by Conley’s Church members who also help to operate the Soup Kitchen, along with several volunteers.

For further information, call the church office at 945-1881, email Office@ConleysUMC.org or visit online.

Conley’s UMC is located at 33106 Jolyn’s Way, Lewes, in the Angola area. Turn from Route 24 onto Camp Arrowhead Road at the Peddlers Village traffic light. Proceed one half mile to Jolyns Way on the right. (The Peddlers Village traffic light on Route 24 is 4.5 miles west of Route 1 and four miles east of Long Neck Road.)
