Butterflies on sale for Cancer Support Community’s release in Milton

MILTON — The Cancer Support Community Delaware has opened sales for butterflies for its 14th annual Wings of Hope: A Butterfly Release, presented by Incyte Corp., from 9 a.m. to noon June 22 at Milton Memorial Park, 113 Union St.

The event will include a release of butterflies in recognition of family members and friends whose lives have been impacted by cancer.

Hosted by WRDE’s Mallory Metzner and honorary chair and former state Sen. David McBride, there will be a ceremony at 10:30.

To purchase butterflies, T-shirts and/or raffle and fifty-fifty tickets — or to become a sponsor or vendor — visit cancersupportdelaware.org.

In addition to Incyte, partners include Perdue Farms, Heather’s Home Works, Beebe Healthcare, M&T Bank, Northwestern Mutual, WSFS, the Village Improvement Association, TidalHealth, County Bank, Apple Electric, Delaware Pediatric Dentistry, Air Temp Solutions, Patio Systems, Lions Club International, Sposato Landscaping, Wharton’s Landscaping & Garden Center and WRDE.
