After two days of inclement weather, the inaugural Maryland Folk Festival resumed Sunday in Downtown Salisbury.
Stormy weather on Saturday forced cancellation of all events.
The festival is following its previously announced Sunday schedule.
The event featuring music, dance and other traditional arts across four performance stages was supposed to resume at noon on Saturday, but the tropical storm hitting Derlmara scuttled that plan.
The free festival, sponsored by Perdue Farms, follows five years of the National Folk Festival in Salisbury, which was produced in collaboration with the National Council for the Traditional Arts. The festival features hundreds of the nation’s finest musicians, dancers, craftspeople and other keepers of culture.
