By Glenn RolfeGEORGETOWN – Outreach and connection were in play Saturday during the first-ever We Are IRSD Community Festival.
The event staged on the Sussex Central High School campus with parking also at the Howard T. Ennis School featured food, games, entertainment, family-friendly activities and helpful resources provided by IRSD schools and community organizations.
On display were the talents of IRSD students, including choirs, drama club and bands.
Several dozen local community organizations were on hand to distribute helpful information and resources. These included Beebe Healthcare and the Millsboro Fire Company.
