Walker: La Red requests Do More 24 support

Posted

Now more than ever, we all need community. At La Red Health Center, we see firsthand how access to quality health care transforms lives. From dental care to pediatrics, primary care, women’s health, behavioral health services and substance use disorder treatment, our team is committed to providing much-needed care to the uninsured and underinsured residents of Sussex County. Shockingly, about 11% of our neighbors fall into this category, making our services more critical than ever.

This is why I encourage you to join me in supporting La Red during Do More 24 Delaware, the state’s annual giving day. From March 6 at 6 p.m. to March 7 at 6 p.m., you have the opportunity to make a difference in the health and well-being of our community. A donation to La Red directly supports those who need it most, ensuring that no one in Sussex County is left without care due to financial barriers.

Now is the time to invest in the organizations we care about and value. I invite you to visit our fundraising page or sign up for a reminder on the Do More website, domore24delaware.org/fundraisers/supporting-health-care-in-sussex-county.

Together, we can make a lasting impact. Thank you for your support.

George Walker

Board president, La Red Health Center
