HARRINGTON — A 17-year-old Harrington teen was arrested after a vehicle he was driving crashed into a house during a police pursuit Monday, authorities said.
The crash occurred on Old Airport Road, Harrington Police spokesman Capt. Earl Brode said. The juvenile’s vehicle was initially seen traveling at a high rate of speed on Milford-Highway Highway at 11:35 p.m., authorities said.
The juvenile was taken into custody after the crash, and transported to a local hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
Charges from the incident included disregarding a police officer signal, driving a vehicle under the influence of drugs, criminal mischief over $1,000, and several other traffic violations. He was arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 7 and was released to a parent on his own recognizance.
