Kathy Jennings is the right person at the right time to serve as our attorney general. This was clear after watching the recent Candidates’ Forum sponsored by the Delaware Democratic Party.
Kathy calmly and clearly demonstrated her commitment to keep us safe in our neighborhoods, to provide equal justice to all Delawareans and to defend us from the destructive chaos of the Trump regime. Throughout the forum, she used facts. She didn’t rely on innuendo and vague references.
Most importantly, Kathy showed us her qualities as a leader, not by listing her accomplishments but by giving credit to the hard work and dedication of the men and women who work in the Delaware Department of Justice.
The state attorney general’s role in protecting our rights has never been more important than it is now. In March 2025, Kathy Jennings and Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul were the co-leaders of an open letter addressed to the country’s 100 largest law firms and signed by 21 attorneys general, urging lawyers to resist bullying and not sit by silently.
Since then, Kathy Jennings has joined or initiated more than 50 lawsuits against the Trump administration. She has led by example.
We don’t know the next challenge this administration will present. We do know Kathy Jennings has the courage, principles and experience to face it as Delaware’s attorney general.
