SELBYVILLE — Delaware State Police arrested 20-year-old Broaderick Thomas of Selbyville on Friday for theft of a firearm following a rash of vehicle break-ins.
Troopers were investigating numerous thefts from unsecured motor vehicles that occurred in the Americana Bayside Development in Selbyville. One of the thefts included two firearms. Through investigative measures, troopers developed Mr. Thomas as the suspect.
Troopers located Mr. Thomas Friday evening in the Selbyville area and took him into custody without incident. He was transported to Delaware State Police Troop 4, where he was charged with two counts of felony theft of a firearm, three counts of theft and five counts of criminal trespassing.
He was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court #3 and released on $9,005 unsecured bond.
The firearms have not been located, according to authorities.
