TidalHealth addresses national communication outage impact

Posted

SALISBURY – TidalHealth’s Information Technology team is assessing the impact to the health system from the overnight worldwide communication system outage.

As of 6:30 am, TidalHealth Peninsula Regional and TidalHealth Nanticoke hospitals were both functional with limited interruptions that are being addressed. All clinical operations and life-saving equipment is working. Command centers are open and staffed at both hospitals to closely monitor all systems.

As a precaution and as physician offices open for business, TidalHealth is canceling all appointments until 10 am when it will reassess operations for the day.

All ambulatory outpatient laboratories in our communities will be closed today, however, the outpatient labs at both hospitals remain open.

TidalHealth will continue to keep the public updated as required.
